Refunds and Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with everything you order and if you’re not, we want to hear about it.  If anything you receive does not meet your expectations, please get in touch with us within 5 working days of receipt of your item at hello@madeforyou.co.uk quoting your name, order number and the reason you are not happy, and we will advise you how to proceed.  We are unable to accept returns without prior notification.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund unless the product is faulty or damaged.

Returns Policy

Our Refunds and Returns Policy provides that if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, provided that it is unused, in its original condition, in its original packaging and unpersonalised, you can return it to us for replacement, exchange or refund within 30 days of receipt.

Unless there has been an error on our part or the item you purchased is faulty, we cannot accept returns on personalised or customised products. By the very individual nature of personalised products, they cannot be re-sold, and therefore we cannot accept returns if you have simply changed your mind therefore consider your purchase carefully and check the spelling of any requested personalisation before you order is submitted. 

You are responsible for returning the goods to us, unopened and in their original condition, at your own expense.  Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.  The goods must be returned to us in the original condition, unused, undamaged and with the original packaging intact for the cancellation to be approved.  We regret that postage and packing costs for unwanted items cannot be refunded. Even if you have qualified for free delivery when placing your order, a postage and packing charge of £1.50 per item will be levied on unwanted items and deducted from any refund given.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, less the postage and packing costs, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within 10 working days. The refund given will be equal to the amount paid for the goods even if a discount code was applied.

The provisions of this clause do not affect your statutory rights.

Order Cancellations

You have the legal right to cancel your order within 7 working days of receiving the goods. However, this does not apply to items which we have made, personalised or customised specifically for you and it does not apply to any goods which have been opened.

In the case of personalised products, once production has started, we are unable to offer cancellation.  Please check your order carefully for spelling mistakes as we are unable to offer cancellations for misspelling once production has begun.

Order cancellations must be made in writing, quoting your order number, within 7 working days beginning the day after the day on which the item is delivered.

If you wish to cancel your order you can notify us by email at hello@madeforyou.co.uk.  If the goods are cancelled before they are dispatched then you will receive a full refund.  If the goods have already been dispatched, you are responsible for returning them to us, unopened and in their original condition, at your own expense.  Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item is faulty or damaged, or there is an error on our part, you will be offered a replacement or a refund.  If you opt to take a replacement this will be sent to you at no additional cost.  If you opt for a refund, we will refund the full value of the item and your costs in returning it to us provided the item is returned to us within 14 days of receipt.  Refunds cannot be given if the fault or damage is as a result of misuse.

The item is your responsibility until it reaches us and we therefore recommend that you send the parcel back to using a Royal Mail delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.

Gifts

If the item was given you to as a gift, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

Items Lost in Transit

You are responsible for packages you are returning until they reach us.  We therefore recommend that you send packages using a service that is tracked and offers financial compensation such as Recorded or Special Delivery through Royal Mail.
